Posted by on 19th, 2008
Arangetram: Part 1 of Harini Jeevitha, a 11-year-old student of http://ww.SriDeviNrithyalaya.org (you can watch better quality videos there or buy this DVD) performing authentic solo Mellathur style of Bharatanatyam (Bharata natyam, Bharatnatyam, Bharathanatyam)
Classical Indian dance.

you cannot see her beautiful expressions well in such a tiny frame.
this bharatanatyam video is surely as good as the best bharatanatyam DVDs on

Not to take anything away from this wonderful dancer and Bharatanatyam, but I think kuchipudi is much more visually appealing and graceful dance form.
