the reason why you dont sometimes see his foot hit the ground yet you hear the sound is because its a combination of his foot hitting the ground and also his shoes hitting against themselves in mid air

ShazzAX1994 - I do Irishdancing, which is really the same As irish dancing.If i was you i would defanatley go for Riverdance. Although i dont really know the difference i can garentee its better ten Tap dance. Ive been doind Riverdance for nearly 9 years now .. Its amazing !
