Legend has it that the summer of 1968 in Jamaica was too hot for people to dance to the fast-tempo ska, so the musicians started to play slower - and presto, rocksteady was born, soon to evolve into reggae.
I love The Specials so much I almost get tears in my eyes when I see this… just look how young they were… and look at the clothes! Man, I wanna go back to 1979!
